San Rafael is centrally located in Marin County. It is the largest city in Marin by area comprising two zip codes (94901 & 94903) and has the second warmest weather. Its diverse population is showcased by its many neighborhoods with their separate identities.
The downtown is lively with unique stores, restaurants, entertainment and the historic San Rafael Arcangel Mission. The Marin County Civic Center hosts The County’s home for all things legal (courts, planning, building, etc.). It is admired for its architectural design by Frank Lloyd Wright and is home to two weekly (Thursday & Sunday) farmers markets.
